J. Floyd Hatch has lived most of his life in Salt Lake City, Utah. He graduated from the University of Utah with a bachelors degree in biology in 1974 and a bachelors degree in geology in 1976. He also received a masters degree in geology from Brigham Young University in 1980. |

He was involved in the oil and gas business for eight years before entering the commercial real estate field in 1986. He was associated with the office of CB Commercial and JP Realty before starting his own firm, Intermountain Realty Group in 1990. In 1996, in partnership with Kevin L. Mortensen, he formed Intermountain Development Group. |

Floyd, an outdoor enthusiast, loves hunting, fishing, camping or anything of the like. This passion for the outdoors has led him to his involvement with Intermountain Realty Group in buying and selling fine hunting and fishing property in affiliation with Cabela's Trophy Properties, L.L.C. |

He has served his community through associations with the Boy Scouts of America, Utah Boys Ranch, Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, University of Utah's Museum of Natural History, Crimson Club, College of Health Sciences and Ballet West. He is the past Utah State Government Chairman for International Council of Shopping Centers and currently serves as the Utah State Affairs Director. |
